The wide-opening blind that does both jobs

Vertical blinds are a window covering built from long vertical fabric, PVC or aluminium slats that hang from a slim top track. The slats rotate to tilt open for light or closed for privacy, and slide along the track to gather neatly to one side, the centre or split into two stacks, fully clearing the window when you want the view. Unlike most blinds, they handle wide openings and tall windows beautifully, which makes them the standard choice for sliding glass doors, sliding balcony doors, picture windows and wide commercial spaces. They are also one of the most cost-effective ways to cover a large area, and the slats are individually replaceable if one ever gets damaged. Choose from fabric slats for a soft residential look, PVC for kitchens, bathrooms and easy-clean spaces, or aluminium for a sharp contemporary finish.

Three slat materials, three different rooms

The slat material you choose decides the feel of the room and how the blind handles its environment. Here is what each one does best.

Fabric Vertical Blinds

Soft fabric slats that hang like draping panels and give a quieter, more residential feel. Available in hundreds of colours across light-filtering, room-darkening and blockout fabrics.

PVC Vertical Blinds

Durable wipeable PVC slats that handle moisture, grease and heavy daily use. The practical choice for kitchens, bathrooms, laundries and busy commercial spaces.

Aluminium Vertical Blinds

Sharp powder-coated aluminium slats that bring a contemporary look and reflect heat slightly better than fabric. Ideal for modern interiors and west-facing windows.

The advantages homeowners notice first

Vertical blinds are the practical answer to the openings that other blinds struggle with: sliding doors, very wide windows and tall spans. Here is why they keep being the right choice for those rooms.

Made for wide openings

The natural choice for sliding doors, sliding balcony doors and picture windows where horizontal blinds would be awkward.

Full clear opening

Slats stack neatly to one side or split to both sides, fully clearing the window so you keep the view and the access.

Tilt for light control

Rotate slats anywhere from fully open to fully closed without lifting the entire blind, fine-grained control of light and privacy.

Cost-effective coverage

Among the most affordable ways to cover a large window or door opening with custom-made blinds.

Individually replaceable slats

If a slat is ever damaged, we replace just that one, not the whole blind, so the long-term cost stays low.

Suits any space

From soft fabric for living rooms to wipeable PVC for kitchens and sharp aluminium for offices, one product family covers a lot of ground.

From first call to finished window

One accountable team handles every step. No subcontractors, no middleman, no surprises.

What affects the cost of vertical blinds

Vertical blinds cover a wide price range, because the choices matter. These are the main factors that shape your quote.

Slat material

Fabric, PVC and aluminium slats each sit at different price points.

Stacking & configuration

Single-side, split-stack and centre-open configurations involve different track builds.

Slat width

89mm is the standard. 127mm wider slats can change the cost slightly.

Opening size & quantity

Larger sliding doors, wide picture windows and whole-home orders change the overall total.

Questions homeowners ask us

Fly screens are lightweight aluminium or fibreglass mesh designed to keep insects out. Security screens are heavy-duty stainless steel mesh in reinforced frames, tested to Australian Standards to stop intruders. Fly screens are far more affordable and suit most homes; security screens are the upgrade for doors and ground-floor windows where intrusion is a concern.

Standard fibreglass mesh is fine enough that, looking out, your view stays largely clear. Aluminium mesh is slightly more visible. Both let full natural light and airflow through when the window or door is open.

Yes. We offer heavy-duty mesh options that resist scratching from cats and dogs at the door, ideal for back doors and pet-active homes. The mesh feels noticeably stronger but looks similar to standard mesh.

For openings you want to keep clear when insects are not a problem, yes. They glide across when you need them and tuck out of sight against the frame the rest of the time, giving you a clean opening when the weather is right.

Yes. Because every screen is custom-built, we can fit arched, angled and special-shaped windows, as well as wide sliders and bi-fold openings.
